once your votive has burned out leave to cool before handling.

To clean simply add water around 80 degrees or just under boiling  to your votive holder which will melt the wax.  Allow to cool and you will be able to remove the wax residue which will have dried on top of the water.  The beeswax residue can be put in food waste or in your compost bin.
